1 Stand Mixer OR
1 Hand Mixer
- 2 Cups Chocolate Chips
- 2 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 3 Oz Irish Whiskey
Put the chocolate chips in a mixing bowl. Set aside.
In a pot, Heat up the heavy cream and Irish whiskey until it just starts to bubble. This takes just a couple minutes.
Pour the hot liquid over the chocolate chips and stir to combine. The heat from the liquid should melt the chocolate chips and form the sauce.
At this point, the ganache is finished and can be used as a glaze.
To make it into a frosting, put all of the warm sauce into the bowl of your stand mixer and whip on medium high speed until it gets light and fluffy and has doubled in size. This can take up to 10-15 minutes.
Once the frosting is whipped up it is ready to be used for frosting cakes, cupcakes, brownies, cookies, or whatever else your heart desires!Enjoy!
